Health Fairs

7th Annual Health FairThank you to the Westside Community of Buffalo for coming out to our celebration of “preserving good health” at the 7th Annual Hispanic Health Fair.  The Health Fair brought together families and neighbors in an attempt to heighten their awareness on vital health issues.

Our most recent Health Fair was held on Saturday June 19, 2010 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm.  The host and major sponsor for the Fair was The Raul & Toni Vazquez Foundation Inc, located at 564 Niagara Street, Buffalo, NY 14201.

Thank you to Mayor Brown for joining us in the festivities and participating throughout the entire day.

The mission of The Hispanic Health Fair was to educate the community on matters of good health and risk factors for disease and was a wonderful success.

7th Annual Hispanic Health FairThe tests and screenings that were conducted at the fair included: Diabetes, Asthma, Blood Pressure, Podiatric Screening, Glaucoma Screening and much more.

We had FREE food and entertainment and fairgoers were treated to clowns, face paintings and a variety of other family activities including music and dancing.

Various items such as Computers with color printers, bicycles, t-shirts, hats, pens, balloons, buttons, cups, and toys were raffled off FREE of charge to screened patients.

The Health Fair brought together many of Buffalo’s health care providers, including local hospitals, community organizations and insurance agencies.

Thank you again to everyone who made this fair another great success!
